What. A. Summer.
Festival season has officially come to an end for Carousel Pole Studio, and our poles, tent, banners, and very tired arms are ready for a little break.
This year, we made our way through three parades and six (maybe seven… we honestly lost count!) community events, bringing a little bit of Carousel out of the studio and into Hudson and the surrounding communities.
And we loved it.
For us, showing up at these events is about so much more than having a booth or handing out information about classes. It gives us a chance to show people what pole and aerial actually look like and, sometimes, completely change what they thought they knew about them.
Pole is strength. It’s movement. It’s creativity. It’s confidence. And yes, it can be playful, sensual, challenging, athletic, artistic, or a combination of all of those things.
One of our favorite parts of festival season is watching someone stop at our booth because they’re curious. Maybe they’ve always wanted to try pole but felt intimidated. Maybe they didn’t even know we offer aerial hoop, silks, lollipop, flying pole, or open studio training. Maybe they’ve driven past our studio a hundred times and never quite knew what happened inside.
Then we get to tell them.
Even better, sometimes we get to watch them try it.
We’ve watched kids, adults, friends, couples, parents, and people who swore, “Oh, I could NEVER do that!” discover that maybe they actually can.
That is exactly why we keep showing up.
Carousel has been part of this community for years, but we’re continuing to grow, evolve, and find new ways to invite people in. Whether you met us at a parade, stopped by our booth at a festival, watched one of our instructors climb a pole, or grabbed a card and quietly tucked it into your bag for “someday,” we’re so glad our paths crossed.
And if you’ve been thinking about trying a class, consider this your invitation.
You don’t need to be strong enough first. You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to know what you’re doing. You just need to walk through the door.
We’ll help with the rest.
Thank you to everyone who waved to us during a parade, stopped by our booth, asked questions, tried something new, cheered us on, and helped make this festival season such a fun one.
Now, we’re bringing that energy back into the studio.
Come find your strength, your confidence, and your community at Carousel Pole Studio.
See you in the studio!
